Professional Interests/Specialties

My specialties include grief and loss/life transitions, living with chronic illness, and life skills including stress management.  My areas of specialty  often encompass issues related to anxiety, depression and diminished self esteem.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and confidential environment – to serve you with presence and respect. While my work is  predominantly humanistic and client centered, I also draw from and rely on aspects of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy),  Gestalt, Narrative and mindfulness counseling theories. My belief is that each individual has the ability to find his/her own answers – my role is to help facilitate the process .

In accordance with ethical guidelines as well as a personal pursuit to stay current in my field,  I participate in continuing education classes/workshops regularly.
